Enzymes respond differently to cold and heat. Evaluate the Assertion and Reason.

  • Assertion (A): An enzyme kept at a low temperature can usually regain its activity when warmed, but one exposed to a very high temperature loses its activity.
  • Reason (R): Low temperature only keeps an enzyme in a temporarily inactive state, whereas high temperature denatures its protein structure.
