NEET 2022 Physics, question 40
Question 40 of the NEET 2022 paper (code R1) is a Physics question from Moving Charges and Magnetism. Its idea, B vs r Graph for Solid Cylinder, was asked twice, in 2019 and 2022, across NEET 2017–2026. The NTA final answer key gives option 4.

From Ampere's circuital law for a long straight wire of circular cross-section carrying a steady current, the variation of magnetic field in the inside and outside region of the wire is :
- 1a linearly decreasing function of distance upto the boundary of the wire and then a linearly increasing one for the outside region.
- 2uniform and remains constant for both the regions.
- 3a linearly increasing function of distance upto the boundary of the wire and then linearly decreasing for the outside region.
- 4a linearly increasing function of distance r upto the boundary of the wire and then decreasing one with 1/r dependence for the outside region.Official answer
