NEET 2019 Physics, question 30

Question 30 of the NEET 2019 paper (code P1) is a Physics question from Laws of Motion. Its idea, Block on a Smooth Inclined Plane, was asked only this once in NEET 2017–2026. The NTA final answer key gives option 3.

Q30 · Physics

When an object is shot from the bottom of a long smooth inclined plane kept at an angle 60° with horizontal, it can travel a distance x1x_1 along the plane. But when the inclination is decreased to 30° and the same object is shot with the same velocity, it can travel x2x_2 distance. Then x1:x2x_1 : x_2 will be :

  1. 11:21 : \sqrt{2}
  2. 22:1\sqrt{2} : 1
  3. 31:31 : \sqrt{3}Official answer
  4. 41:231 : 2\sqrt{3}
