Benzenesulphonyl chloride (Hinsberg's reagent) is used to tell apart primary, secondary and tertiary amines. Judge the Assertion (A) and the Reason (R) below.

  • Assertion (A): The sulphonamide formed from a secondary amine is insoluble in alkali.
  • Reason (R): The sulphonamide from a secondary amine has no hydrogen on nitrogen that is acidic enough to be removed by alkali.
