Input waveforms vs t(s): A is 0 for 0 to 1 s, 1 from 1 s to 3 s, then 0; B is 1 for 0 to 2 s, 0 from 2 s to 3 s, then 1. Logic circuit: inputs A and B feed two AND gates (the lower AND gate has a bubble on its upper input, i.e. one inverted input; the upper AND gate has plain inputs), and the outputs of both AND gates go to an OR gate giving Y.
