JEE Main 31 August 2021, Shift 2, Physics Q16

Question 16 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 16 of 30, Section A.

If VAV_A and VBV_B are the input voltages (either 5 V or 0 V) and VoV_o is the output voltage then the two gates represented in the following circuits (A) and (B) are :

The figure, in words

Circuit (A): inputs V_A and V_B each go through a diode (D1 and D2 respectively) to a common junction; from the junction the output V_o is taken, and a resistor R = 1 kΩ connects the junction to ground. Circuit (B): V = 5 V at top connected through R_C = 1 kΩ to the collector of an npn transistor (labelled npn, β = 150); output V_o taken at the collector; input V_B goes through R_B = 100 kΩ to the base; emitter to ground.
