JEE Main 4 August 2021, Shift 2, Physics Q20

Question 20 of 90 in this shift, Physics question 20 of 30, Section A.

A student measured volume of a 3 dimensional body of height, length and breadth h, l and b respectively using three vernier callipers A, B and C. He found the volumes to be VA\mathrm{V_A}, VB\mathrm{V_B}, VC\mathrm{V_C} respectively and forgot to apply the zero error correction The actual value of volume is V0\mathrm{V_0}. If VA>V0\mathrm{V_A} > \mathrm{V_0}, VB−VC\mathrm{V_B} - \mathrm{V_C} is a positive value and VC<V0\mathrm{V_C} < \mathrm{V_0}, then what is not true about A, B and C.
  1. (1)VA\mathrm{V_A} and VB\mathrm{V_B} may have values more than V0\mathrm{V_0} and VC\mathrm{V_C}.
  2. (2)A has positive zero error, C has negative zero error.
  3. (3)B may have positive, negative or no zero error.
  4. (4)A has a negative zero error and C has a positive zero error.Official answer
